There are a few details about your door and lock, that you will need to know before starting your mission. Grab a pen, piece of paper and a tape measure to start.
  1. Open the door and measure the entire door panel height in inches.    Example:   93 1/2″
  2. Measure from the bottom of the door panel to the center of the handle, in inches.
  3. On the edge of the door, How width is the lock face plate?         16mm (5/8″)     or     20mm (3/4″)
  4. Measure the “Backset” width, in inches, (From the edge of the door to the center of the handle) Example:  35mm (1 3/8″),  45mm (1 3/4″), 60mm (2 3/8″) or 70mm ( 2 3/4″)
  5. How does the lock activate?  Manual by lifting up on the handle  or  Automatic by just closing the door, lock engages?
  6. When lock is engaged,  How far does the deadbolt extend from the lock?  Example:  14mm (1/2″)   or  25mm (1″)
  7. Confirm if the door panel in question is an Active door or an Inactive door.
  8. Is the handle ” Above ” the key hole (Hoppe HLS-9000 Series)  or is the handle ” Below ” the key hole (HLS-7 Series) ?
  9. Does the lock have pins (shootbolts) that extend from to very top and bottom when the lock is engaged?
  10. On the edge of the door panel where the lock strip face plate is……Are there any other locking points above or below where the deadbolt extends?
  11. If there are additional locking points other than the deadbolt or the the top and bottom shoot bolts,    What are they?    None,     Roller Pins,    Tongue,    Round bolt  or a Hook bolt?
  12. From the Bottom of the Door, Measure up to the center of the 1st locking point
  13. From the Bottom of the Door, Measure up to the center of the 2nd locking point
  14. From the Bottom of the Door, Measure up to the center of the 3rd locking point, If any.

Hoppe Multipoint Gear Box Replacement Parts. Gearbox part may repair your existing Hoppe Lock. Existing lock must have Mis-Handling device and cutout in the lock faceplate between striker latch and deadbolt. This part can repair all current Hoppe HLS-9000 Active Multipoint door lock systems.

Hoppe Single Point Door Locks with Face Plate.  Will not work as a replacement gear box for a multipoint door lock. 

Hoppe single point door lock for Hoppe mortise locks, with no other locking points, other than the deadbolt. Comes with stainless steel faceplate. Available in (4) different backsets.

Hoppe 3 Point Multipoint Door Locks. This lock system only locks at the top and bottom of the door with shootbolts into the door frame header and sill. Locks at the deadbolt as 3rd locking point.

Hoppe 3 point locks and components are available in (4) different backsets and (2) different deadbolt throws. These locks are typical on both single and double doors that have no other locking point along the edge.

Hoppe Variable Handle Height 3 point multipoint door lock. For Hoppe lock replacements on doors that have handle heights, that are higher or lower than the standard 36″ handle height. This is a 3 point lock, with no other locking points.
